Boracay Experience

November 5, Sunday - Day 1

I arrived in the office at 6 am, followed by Nikks, with Oyo, then Pau. Before leaving the place I uploaded some of Pau's mp3s to my iPod. But since, we were such in a hurry, I wasn't able to upload everything.. sowee Pau.. :) Arrived at the airport few minutes past 7... not late huh. We still have almost 2 hours to spare since our departure is at 8:50am. It was my first time at the domestic airport and I was completely clueless of what to do first. Thanks to Pau for guiding me all throughout..;)

Also, it was my first time to ride on a plane... hihihihi... the plane was nice, opposite of what Bimbo, my officemate had told me. I was like a kid while watching the land under... the clouds... the seas.. the mountains...

From Kalibo Domestic Airport, it took us 1 and a half hour to reach Caticlan Jetty Port and 15-minute boat transfer to the island. Another ride, this time a tricycle, brought us finally to our destination.. whew! :) When I had the first glance of the Boracay Island, fine sand and bluish sea... I did not feel anything special. Hhmmm.. it was beautiful.. the view was relaxing.. I just don't know why I did not feel any excitement when I saw the paradise-like island. Oh well, maybe because I've heard so much of the place and seeing what I saw was no longer a big deal for me. Maybe, I was already expecting it to be that way. Well, we still have 4 more days to explore the place... we'll see..;)

Since we came an hour before our check-in time (supposed to be at 2pm), we decided to have our lunch at the nearby Binalot. I had daing na bangus with atchara and a diet coke. By the way, we stayed in Bans Resort located in Station 1 but not that far from Station 2 :)

After lunch, we decided to rest for a while. Augs and the others decided to feel the beach and heat right away :D At around 4pm, I finally had the first taste of Boracay sea. The water was clear... the sand was very..very fine..the heat was tolerable... in short.. I had fun... :) After almost an hour of swimming, we had our merienda at Jonah's, famous for its fruit shakes. Well, the shake(mango-pineapple) tastes good but nothing special :).

We had dinner at Mikay's located in 'd talipapa. The food was great...forget the diet!!!! We are here to have fun!!! hehehehe... We had sinigang na hipon, chopsuey and inihaw na liempo... yummy....tsalap!!! :) And since it was our first night, most of us were not in the mood to have gimik or even a drinking session. Hehehehe.... ang aga naming natulog in time for our island hopping at 9am tomorrow..;)

November 6, Monday - Day 2

Woke up at 8am. Had a not-so-good breakfast at the resort's resto. Fortunately though, it did not set our mood for the whole day. We started island hopping at 9am. First activity was snorkling. Haven't tried it ever in my life. I am afraid because I don't know how to swim, I don't know how to control my breath and basically I don't like the idea of being in a deep water.. argghh!!! But, Pau convinced me to try it. Sayang naman ang punta dun kung hindi ko man lang daw ita-try...I said, ok fine! :) So there, I had my first snorkling experience. It was great seeing sea creatures down deep.. it was breath-taking.. literally.. hehehehe... did not have it for long since I had difficulty in breathing. Second activity was... chibugan!!! lunch!!! :D Had our lunch at Tesebel in Puka Beach. We waited for almost half an hour for our lunch to be served but I can say, it was all worth it. We had sinigang na ulo ng tuna, inihaw na tuna, calamares, prawns with butter and honey and fresh ripe mango for our dessert. The calamares was perfect. We even planned to have it as our pulutan later tonight but the place was a bit far from our resort.

After a very heavy lunch :), we moved to another part of the island which is called Balanghai to swim. We enjoyed the place... the water... the waves... it's just that we didn't have enough time to spend kasi kj si kuya albert, our tour guide... hehehehe... and it happens to be our last stop :( Anyways, we really had a great time... i had fun... really... ahhh.. i love nature... We decided to take a nap following a very exciting islang hopping. Woke up at 6pm and had meryenda at Cindy's. Went back to the room to sleep for a while in preparation for our drinking spree later this evening.

November 7, Tuesday - Day 3

Swimming again at around 10am after a good breakfast at Andok's :).

While the rest of the group decided to go on parasailing, Pau and I had a pictorial :P. Here are some of the samples....

We had our late lunch at Andok's and again had a nap before going to our last afternoon swim in Boracay.

Just a short and creepy story, Nikki had a free overnight stay for two in one of the hotels in station 1, Pearl of the Pacific. She got this after attending a seminar in Manila. So, the group decided to accompany her and Oyo to the hotel and check if we could also stay there for a drinking session :). It seems like some other creatures don't like the idea. Nagkawalaan kami!!! pucha!!! In the end, Nikki decided not to stay there anymore and the barkada agreed!!! Nikki, Oyo and Augs went back to the resort. Tabel, Apaul and Doths stayed in front of the hotel to stargaze. Pau and I went to Friday's to take some pics...

Got a henna tattoo after dinner. Thanks to Tabel for her recommendation.... kewl! ;)

Since this is going to be our last night here, we have to have a good night... a very good night indeed! We had our drinking session in front of Bans Resort... tequilla.. vodka.. chips... kwentuhan... kulitan... tuksuhan... kalokohan.. kapilyuhan.. all in!!! :)

It was already 3:30 in the morning when we decided to call it a night (kaso morning na e.. hehehehe...).

November 8, Wednesday - Day 4

Kakatamad bumangon. But, we need to... kasi last day na namin.. huhuhuhu... woke up at 10am, bought our breakfast in Binalot. Pau and I went to 'd talipapa to buy some pasalubongs. Unfortunately, we only have an hour left to do the shopping. I bought 2 sandos (for my tatay and kuya), 2 blouses for me and a pair of slippers for my nanay. Wasn't able to buy other stuffs like key chain, bling-bling, etc. :(

So there! After 4 days, we have to leave now... we have to go back to the busy life here in the metro.. kalungkot.. :( but for sure... the memories will surely be there... forever.... thanks, guys!!!! Tabel, Apaul, Doths, Augs, Nikki, Oyo and Pau.... salamat sa inyong lahat!!!! mwahhhhhh!!!!

Special thanks to Apaul and Pau for the pics... ;)
